Hey there!
I'm Dr. Michelle Walter

I’ve known as long as I could remember that I was an introvert.

I recall hiding behind my parents’ legs as a small child when meeting someone new and avoiding being called on at all costs at school.

I thought that my introversion just meant that I was quiet and didn’t like big groups of people.

I went through undergrad and medical school.  I completed residency (combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics), fellowship (Hospice and Palliative Medicine) and working as an academic physician practicing Palliative Medicine at a cancer center.

After fellowship I became a mom to twins.

I was ALWAYS exhausted.

That's just how it is when you are a working mom?  Right?

I felt like something was wrong with me.

I was hard on myself that I wasn’t measuring up to what I was supposed to be-  Superwoman capable of DOINGALLTHETHINGS and loving every second of it.

There were times when I came home from work, and didn’t want to be around my family.  Because they needed me, just like my patients needed me, and my team needed me.

And I NEEDED TO NOT BE NEEDED

There were times when I would crash on the couch, literally a zombie.

And then I realized.

I wasn’t giving myself any time to recharge, reflect, relax.

So I found coaching.  It opened my eyes to new perspectives.  To what I was really doing to myself.  And I realized that I needed to make a change.

So I completed a coaching certification course and started MiraVista Coaching.

To help you avoid the mistakes I made

To help you take care of yourself

To help you find your energy again

If you are still here reading, you recognize some of my experience in your own life.
What does making a change look like for you?
